The Estates at Turtle Bay is located on the north shore on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. Although their accounting was done partially in Quickbooks, the process involved cumbersome templates to process owner statements. Most of their business processes were labor intensive and required a lot of time and effort. On October 15th, 2006 a magnitude 6.7 earthquake hit the Hawaiian Islands. At least 1,173 buildings were damaged, roads were damaged and landslides blocked roads on Hawaii. Power outages occurred throughout the Hawaiian Islands, many lasting over 24 hours. Damages were estimated at $73 million. Through it all, their business systems at Escapia stayed up and their businesses stayed open, and they were able to focus their energies on the things that matter the most: Their families and clients.
